Dentist Townsend, MA

There is a reason some of the earliest colonists picked this region of Massachusetts to settle in. The colonists needed access to the Atlantic Ocean, but they wanted to be a bit inland to avoid hurricanes. Massachusetts was far enough north to avoid much of the brutal flying insects that plagued the Jamestown colony in Virginia. There was also ample, good farmland in the area. Massachusetts was paradise as far as the colonists were concerned. Whether you are a longtime resident of the Townsend area or new to Massachusetts, here is some information about Townsend, as well as information about our dental practice.

About The City Of Townsend, MA

About Our Clinic

Smiles of Groton in nearby Groton, Massachusetts, is a family-owned dental practice. Both of our dentists have spent years practicing family dentistry. One of our dentists began working at an orthodontic office before she graduated high school. We commit to serving the entire family and their various dental needs.

Of course, one of the most important services we do is preventative dentistry. Recent research only clarifies what many dentists already knew: There is a link between healthy teeth and gums and overall good health well into your 80s and 90s. You can keep your teeth and gums healthy by brushing and flossing daily and by coming to see our dentists for regular dental cleanings, checkups, and dental X-rays.

We practice more than preventative dentistry in our role as a full-service dental office. We love children, and pediatric patients are always welcome. We see children for the first time right around their first birthday because that allows your child time to get used to us as well as allow us time to talk to parents about their concerns. Because we are family dentists, we see adults from young adulthood through seniors.

Dentistry has expanded in the last few decades. We practice a lot of preventative dentistry and are always on the lookout for tooth decay and gum disease, but there are other ways we can help people live their best lives. If you are not happy with your smile for one reason or another, we have several options to make your smile the best it has ever been.

If you think you have yellow teeth, or you have several teeth that are chipped, broken, or cracked, we can make your smile picture-perfect with whitening techniques, crowns, dental bonding, or veneers to give you the smile you have always wanted. If you worry about your teeth being too crooked or poorly spaced, we have Invisalign for adult patients who want straight teeth without braces - perfect for busy adults who do not have time or the inclination to fool with braces.

What about if you are missing teeth? We can help you with that as well. Our dentists love practicing restorative dentistry. We can replace one tooth, several teeth, or all of your teeth using implant technology or bridges to restore your teeth. This will allow you to eat, drink, sing, and laugh without worrying about gaps in your smile.

Frequently Asked Questions

How should I make an appointment?

Making an appointment is easy! You can give our office a call to set up an appointment. We also have an email address and a Contact Us form on our website, so you should be ready for your next appointment in no time!

Do I need to bring anything to the appointment if I am a new patient?

If you have dental records or dental X-rays, those are always helpful for our dentists and hygienists to view before your appointment. If you have dental insurance, you will want to bring along that information as well. One thing many patients forget to tell us about is their medication. Dentists need to know what kind of medications you are on because they may affect your dental health.

Should I let the dentist know if I am nervous about seeing them?

Believe it or not, fear of the dentist is not a rare phobia. About a quarter of dental patients have a fear of dental visits. If you worry about coming to see us, we can put your mind at ease. Please feel free to discuss your concerns with our dental practitioners when you come in for your dental visit. We love to make dental patients feel relaxed and confident during their visit!

Is your office aware of the latest advances in dental technology?

The field of dentistry has advanced during the last few decades. We have digital X-rays that can be viewed on a tablet and can be emailed or shared. We also have some of the latest dental technology, including a 3D printer that we use to make dental appliances on-site!
