First Visit

If you are planning to become a new patient of our office, and are not experiencing any problems in need of urgent attention, your first appointment will likely be scheduled for a Comprehensive New Patient Examination. This first appointment allows us to get to know you and learn about what you are looking for. We will perform a comprehensive examination of your teeth and gum health, and then create a treatment plan for any recommended treatment so that you have a complete and clear understanding of your treatment needs and costs, in a prioritized order.

Preparation for First Visit

Upon making your first appointment, you will be emailed a link where you can complete your new patient forms electronically. We ask that the new patient forms be completed as soon as possible, but at least 3 days prior to your first visit, so that we have adequate time to review them prior to your appointment!

We request that you call your previous dental office to have your clinical records and xrays emailed to us immediately. If records are not received by our office in time for your first visit, we will need to take additional x-rays at your first visit, which may not be covered by your insurance. Records should be emailed to [email protected].

What to Expect

Your first visit with us is typically scheduled as a 1.5 hour appointment, and you will initially be seen by one of our hygienists who will review your medical and dental history, update xrays, chart existing dental conditions, perform a digital scan of your teeth, and evaluate your gum health to determine the type of cleaning you will need. You will then be seen by either Dr. Marc or Dr. Molly, who will do a comprehensive exam and develop a treatment plan based on any dental needs. We encourage you to be open with us about any questions or concerns regarding your dental care or previous dental experiences!

Antibiotic Premedication

If you have been told to premedicate with antibiotics prior to dental work, please take them as prescribed before your appointment. If you are not sure if you need antibiotics, please contact your doctor prior to your visit. Guidelines for premedicating for dental appointments have changed over the years, so please check with your doctor to make sure that they still recommend premedicating for your condition.
