We understand that the financial side of dental treatment can become confusing and overwhelming at times. Rest assured, our staff has extensive knowledge and experience in working with all types of dental insurance plans, and are available to help answer your insurance and financial questions. Our staff will look at your plan and help you get the most out of your benefits. We never want patients to have a surprise charge that they weren’t expecting, and we therefore will do our best to assist you with making sure you have a clear understanding of your financial and insurance options, as well as your out-of-pocket responsibilities.

Insurance and Patient Co-payments

Dental insurance can play a significant role in your treatment fees. This is why it’s important to properly fill out your new patient paperwork with any insurance information. Submitting your paperwork in advance allows us to prepare your benefit materials before you receive treatment. This includes any fees and co-payments dictated by your insurance policy. We are happy to work with your insurance provider to make sure you receive the most out of your insurance benefits.

When working with insurance, it is important to note that you are solely responsible for fees and co-payments. Our team is happy to assist you when filing a dental or medical claim, but we ask that you follow our financial policy when payment is due. Talk with our staff during your consultation to learn more about our financial policy.

Senior Discounts

For individuals aged 65 and older who do not have dental insurance, we offer a 6% senior discount for all services as well as a 3% cash discount if paying by cash or check.

Payment Policy

Our office will estimate your out-of-pocket fees as accurately as possible, based on the information your insurance company has provided us. Please keep in mind that your dental benefits are a contract between you, your employer and the insurance company, and that every insurance plan is different, regardless of the company.

Please know that while estimates can be made prior to treatment being performed, these estimates are subject to insurance company restrictions and policy exclusions, which aren’t fully determined until the claim is actually received by the insurance company.

PAYMENT OF YOUR PORTION, AS WE HAVE ESTIMATED, IS DUE AT THE TIME OF SERVICES RENDERED. Any portion not paid by your insurance company after the claim is received is your responsibility.

Drs. Marc and Molly Valli and their staff are continuing the tradition of friendly and professional service established by Dr. Breen. The x-ray and diagnostic technology has been upgraded and is phenomenal. The office has been upgraded with air purifying systems. A very positive experience.

The Vallis are both excellent dentists, explain everything you need to know, use the latest technology and are gentle but purposeful. I never worry when I go in. I’ve had 2 crowns and a couple of cavities done. Easy! Best dentists from here to Worcester (where I used to go for care)!

Tawnya, the RDH, was so thorough and knowledgeable and very important to me, took the time to answer my questions without making me feel rushed. Even though there are dentist offices closer to my home that are in-network for me, this office is absolutely worth the drive. They made sure to submit quotes for any upcoming work, including my cleaning well before my initial visit, which helped ease any anxiety about whether insurance would cover it or not. The office is highly organized, and their clear communication about insurance coverage was a huge relief.

The best! Can’t say enough good things about Smiles of Groton. We have 4 kids and one of them is absolutely petrified of the dentist. However, everyone in the office is great and he’s starting to get over that fear, specifically from the great group of people that work there. Beyond that, it’s great to have such a great collective group of people so close to the school system where our kids go.
